JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Controller will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of BCA.
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for assisting in the management of financial activities.
REPORTS TO: Controller
SUPERVISES: Senior Accounting Clerk
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist in the management of all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll (ADP), and general ledger.
Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
Conduct regular account reconciliations to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Provide input and support to the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure financial goals are aligned and met.
Support external audits by providing requested documentation and assisting auditors as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial management role required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and financial software.
Experience with Project Accounting is a plus.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
