Duties:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tanker trucks
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as needed
- Follow specific routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repairs when necessary
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.
g.
, Class A, Class B)
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with experience operating heavy equipment and tractor-trailers
- Ability to safely operate a forklift or other loading/unloading equipment
- Familiarity with route driving and navigating various locations
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Ability to load, unload, and secure cargo properly
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members
