Provide a full array of individual, group and family rehabilitative services to persons adversely affected by chemical abuse or dependency in a residential setting.

Essential Job Functions:
Maintain Standards that apply to Confidentiality and 42 CFR/HIPAA
Must be knowledgeable and able to demonstrate the Canon of Ethics, healthy professional relationships and boundaries with clients and co-workers
Using approved tools, evaluate/ assess and recommend treatment for clients
Maintain client records per OASAS standards and agency policy and procedures
Provide individual, family and group activities, counseling and didactic sessions
May carry primary caseload of 1 client
Develop and review treatment plans in coordination with the client and the multidisciplinary team
Build collaborative relationships with families and legal entities/referral source
Participate in clinical supervision at least bi-weekly and comply with directions
Ensure the delivery of prompt medical attention in cases of illness or accident, report any such incidents to the Program Director, complete incident reports and documentation as required.
Utilize the On-call system as needed
Obtain breath and urine samples for AOD testing
Participate in record reviews
Attend and participate in relevant training while pursuing/maintaining CASAC or other credential
Support other staff in their activities and programming
Attend staff meetings, in-service and conference/trainings as assigned
Convey information inter/intra agency
Be sensitive and responsible to public relations within the community
Maintain basic knowledge of the physical plant
Supervise and participate with residents during recreational, vocational and educational activities, including meal preparation, cleaning, hygiene, nutrition and daily chores
Utilize program consumables and supplies cost effectively
Transport residents to appointments and activities as needed
Safeguard, monitor and distribute residents’ medication as prescribed
Conduct initial interviews with residents to assess family dynamics and therapeutic needs
Perform outreach family services and home visits as required
Educate and support both clients and their families in understanding the recovery process
Implement family programming as directed by the Clinical Director and engage families in the client’s treatment.
Manage letters in and out of the facility for clients
Set up and conduct weekly phone calls between clients and families
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Minimum Job Qualifications:
CASAC Credential or NYS Licensure,
And
Have at least one year of experience working with individuals, families, and/or groups
And
Experience in the Chemical Dependency field and with adolescents preferred
And
Support a person-centered approach to care
And
Must subscribe to a Professional Canon of Ethics
Other Job Requirements: Must maintain a valid Drivers License, as specified in the personnel policies.
Must comply with all laws and policies concerning confidentiality, security, and client rights as specified in the employee manual, and 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
Must maintain current certification and/or training in CPR and First Aid, and any other areas specified by state law and agency regulation.
