*Job Overview: *
Conduct dimensional and visual inspections during and after manufacturing to ensure the product is within specifications and meets CEM standards and the customer's expectations.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Must work respectfully and civilly with others.
* Must adhere to CEM’s health and safety policies.
* Ability to interpret industry engineering drawings and symbols.
* Ability to utilize required measuring and testing devices.
* Inspects and verifies incoming purchased parts per detailed purchase orders and engineering specifications.
* Identify physical defects.
* Inspects layouts and in-process components on machinery.
* Inspect all components parts and machinery prior to shipment.
* Performs non-destructive testing (PT, MT)
* Performing on the spot inspections to assess product quality.
* Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing findings with the production team.
* Completes all inspection reports as required, includes ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word etc.
* All other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications and Skills: *
o *Minimum 5 Years in Precision Measuring Tools: *Ability to use, measure, and record measurements using various measuring tools such as depth gages, thread gages, wire gages, micrometers, calipers, and so on.
o *Minimum 5 years *in reading and interpreting blueprints.
o *Minimum 5 years *of knowledge of quality systems and processes.
o *Being detail-oriented* is essential.
o *Trouble Shooting and a Strategic Mindset*: The ability to identify and fix a problem by strategizing the approach is necessary.
o *Hands-On Skills*: Enjoy working with hands.
o Ability to *work independentl*y and as *part of a team*.
o *Physical Requirements*: Must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 2 ½ hours minimum.
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Must be able to frequently operate all forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and magnetic lifts.
